A backdoor is generally an undocumented portal that allows an administrator to enter the system for troubleshooting or maintenance purposes. But it also refers to a secret portal used by hackers and agencies of intelligence to gain illegal access. When you open a backdoor, you gain access until it is removed. There are many ways to create a backdoor before the Exploit System is released in 0.7.
Possible Uses
An interesting way to get a backdoor is to hack into the victim computer using a remote shell, then create a new user with useradd with administrative permissions, then delete the /home/Backdoor_Username/ folder to hide its existence. Make sure to delete all of the administrative logs, however.
